REPS at the IAPH World Ports Conference 2025 in Kobe, Japan 🎌
2025-10-22
The IAPH World Ports Conference 2025 brought together leading voices from the global maritime and logistics community, and REPS was proud to be part of it.
Last week, Maximilian Abbate and Laura Wiedmann represented REPS in Kobe, Japan, one of the world’s most forward-thinking port cities and a living symbol of resilience and reinvention. Over four days, the conference explored the most pressing topics shaping the future of ports, including decarbonisation, digitalisation, circular energy systems and sustainable infrastructure. For REPS, the event offered a unique opportunity to connect with stakeholders at the intersection of mobility, energy and infrastructure innovation.
Discussions with representatives from the City and Port of Kobe highlighted shared ambitions to rethink infrastructure as an active energy ecosystem, a vision deeply aligned with REPS’s mission to turn movement into power. A highlight of the week was REPS’s role as sponsor of the Infrastructure Award, honouring outstanding contributions to building the ports of the future. We extend our sincere congratulations to Incheon International Airport Corporation, this year’s winner, and to all finalists whose work continues to redefine what sustainable infrastructure can achieve. Beyond the panels and discussions, the conference underscored a powerful sense of direction: the transformation of global ports into hubs of clean, circular and connected energy.
We return to Austria inspired, with full notebooks, meaningful connections and a strengthened belief in what is possible when innovation meets infrastructure.
