The World Premiere of the first Road Power Plant
A major milestone for REPS and the beginning of a new chapter
On November 24, 2025, REPS reached a milestone that marks a turning point not only for our team, but for the future of sustainable infrastructure: our first large-scale 12-meter system was installed and commissioned at the Port of Hamburg.
For the first time, a major European port is generating clean, local energy directly from the movement of its daily traffic. The installation connects mechanical innovation, hydraulic engineering and smart energy storage in one integrated system, operating in real conditions, under real loads, with real impact.
This moment is more than the launch of a pilot… It is proof that REPS works beyond theory, beyond labs, and beyond prototypes in testing areas.We now see data, performance curves, and system behavior in a live environment: insights that accelerate our path to commercial readiness.
More than 100 guests from across Europe and beyond joined us for a day of rich discussions and new perspectives. We were honored to welcome Jens Meier (CEO of the Port of Hamburg), Elisabeth Zehetner (Austrian State Secretary for Startups and Energy), and Justin Karnabach (CEO of HCS), whose site now hosts our first installed system, along with many other key partners.
This event marks the beginning of an exciting journey as we move from pilot to real-world impact.

HCS – Hamburger Container Service is a long-established logistics service provider operating at the heart of the Port of Hamburg.
